Atlanta United 2 today announced that defender Ramzi Qawasmy suffered a partially torn medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his right knee. His rehabilitation process will determine his recovery timeline, however Qawasmy is expected to miss approximately six-to-eight weeks.
Since signing on April 19, 2024, Qawasmy has made five appearances, including four starts, and helped anchor Atlanta’s defense in a clean sheet victory over rivals Chattanooga FC. The 24-year-old defender spent five seasons at Providence College before playing with Louisville City FC (USL Championship) for the 2023 season.
