NASH SKOGLUND
Atlanta United Academy goalkeeper Nash Skoglund was given his first professional start against Indy Eleven.
At 16 years old, Skoglund became the youngest goalkeeper to start a match in club history and the fifth youngest in USL Championship since Opta’s coverage of the league began in 2011.
The young shot-stopper made six saves in his debut and even won the ball on a sliding challenge to prevent a clear scoring opportunity in the 82nd minute.
LA GALAXY II IN 2022
Despite currently sitting in 10th place in the USL Championship’s Western Conference, Galaxy II is still in the hunt for playoffs.
The team is only three points below the playoff line and won its last match against Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Finalist Sacramento Republic.
Galaxy II were slated to take on New Mexico United on Wednesday night but that match was abandoned due to inclement weather.
