ATL UTD 2 won its last game against FC Tulsa 2-1, thanks to a second-half brace from Jackson Conway. Jonantan Villal played a vital role in his seven-minute cameo, assisting Conway’s 89th-minute winner after a driving run through Tulsa’s midfield.
JACKSON CONWAY
Atlanta’s Homegrown striker is now the holder of multiple club records: the most career goals scored by an ATL UTD 2 player and the most goals in a single season by an ATL UTD 2 player.
Aiden McFadden’s single-season scoring record of eight goals set in the 2021 campaign was broken by the 20-year-old on Saturday night, as Conway scored his ninth and 10th goals of 2022.
Conway’s career tally grew to 22 with his double against Tulsa, 13 more goals than the next-closest player.
MEMPHIS 901 IN 2022
Memphis has spent most of the season as one of the best teams the USL Championship’s Eastern Conference has to offer; however, 901 FC has hit a bit of a stumbling block recently.
Head coach Ben Pirmann’s side currently sits third in the east but is winless in its last three matches, drawing its last game 1-1 against Orange County SC.
Phillip Goodrum is currently the star of the show at Memphis, leading the team in scoring with 14 goals.
