2025 MLS SuperDraft: Atlanta United's selections

It was a busy week for the 5-Stripes, which included naming Ronny Delia as the new Head Coach, and Chris Henderson the Chief Soccer Officer and Sporting Director. And even after that, the action did not slow down. MLS held its annual SuperDraft. Atlanta United made two selections in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas - the 53rd and 83rd overall picks. They also received Mateusz Klich from D.C United in exchange for Atlanta’s first round pick (No. 23) in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft. D.C. United will maintain a percentage of Klich’s 2025 salary budget charge and his Designated Player spot.

Round 1, Pick 23

Atlanta United traded this pick to D.C United in order to aquire Polish midfielder Mateusz Klich.

Klich, 34, came to MLS ahead of the 2023 season after a distinguished career in Europe. The Polish international has started 62 of 63 matches for D.C. United the past two seasons. He’s been extremely durable, playing over 2,600 minutes in each of those two seasons. He has scored six goals and added 22 assists in MLS play combined, including 13 assists last season. He’s created 147 chances with an 82.9% passing accuracy in MLS.

Round 2, Pick 53 - Ronan Wynne

Wynne, 23, played at the University of Denver the past five years. The Auckland, New Zealand native started 69 of the 70 matches he played in college. He’s tallied six assists in each of the past two seasons as Denver has qualified for the NCAA Tournament in ever season Wynne was on the team. This past season, the Pioneers advanced to the semifinal of the NCAA Tournament before falling in a penalty shootout to eventual champions Vermont. Wynne has been a consistent presence along Denver’s backline, playing over 1,500 in each of his past three seasons.

Round 3, Pick 83 - William Kulvik

Kulvik, 22, is coming off a breakout season at the University of Maryland. The defender was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and earned 2024 First Team All-Big Ten honors. He started all 19 matches this season logging 1,691 minutes of action. Over the course of his four-year career, he started 61 of the 67 matches he played in for the Terrapins. He has scored four goals and added three assists The Oslo, Norway centerback came up through the Stabaek academy before making the move to the United States.
