Home Opener vs Charleston Battery on March 8th
ATL UTD 2 will kick off their season at The Proving Ground versus Charleston Battery. The 2’s didn’t lose a match to the Battery last year. The team tied at Charleston in the beginning of the year. Later in September, Charleston traveled to The Proving Ground where ATL UTD 2 defeated the Battery, 3-1.
Away Match vs. Birmingham Legion FC on April 18th
These two southern teams will face each other for the third time in history on April 18th at BBVA Compass Field in Birmingham. Legion FC finished their inaugural season 12-15-7, earning the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Atlanta looks to secure its first-ever win against Birmingham on April 18th.
Away Match at Memphis 901 FC on May 2nd
Last year, ATL UTD 2 defeated Memphis 901 FC on the road in front of a roaring crowd in the City of Blues. Atlanta put up goal in the last minute of the first half for the game winner. They held off Memphis the entire second half to secure three points. In their second match-up of the season, Memphis defeated Atlanta 2-1 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. Memphis 901 FC added former USMNT goalie Tim Howard to its Front Office this offseason. ATL UTD 2 will be ready to grab three points on Memphis’ pitch on May 2nd.
First Match versus Miami FC on June 27th
ATL UTD 2 will face Miami FC for the first time ever. Miami FC began play in 2016 in the North American Soccer League (NASL). In 2018, they played in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), where they were crowned NPSL National Champions. This year will be Miami’s first season in the USL Championship.
Away Match at Louisville City FC on July 18th
Louisville fell in the USL Championship Final to Real Monarchs, ending the teams hope of back-to-back title campaigns. After falling in both matches last season, Atlanta looks to grab three points against one of the premier teams in USL.
