Paul Allen, a part-owner of the Seattle Sounders who also owned the NFL's Seattle Seahawks and the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers, died at the age of 65 due to complications from non-Hodgkin's lymphoma on Monday. Atlanta United and Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank released the following statement:

“Paul’s legacy and impact on all of us will not only be remembered for his teams’ success on the field and court, but for the lives he has touched along the way.  Paul’s leadership in co-founding one of the greatest companies in the world, numerous other successful ventures and his philanthropic passion, including critical funding of research on traumatic brain injuries, leaves an incredible legacy. He’ll be missed, but his numerous positive contributions globally, and especially in the communities of Seattle and Portland, will forever be felt. On behalf of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United and my family, our condolences go out to the entire Allen family, as well as the Seahawks, Trailblazers and Sounders organizations and their fans.”
