The Atlanta United first team had some VIP visitors at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground today: the Meadowcreek High School men's varsity soccer team. The Mustangs, straight off their Class 7A state title, received a guided tour of the first-team facilities and even snapped a picture alongside the first team out on the practice pitch.
All in all, a deserved award and a beautiful afternoon for some of the best soccer players in the area. There's no doubt: soccer is booming in the A-T-L. And if some of these players keep it up, we may see them out on these fields full time sooner than later.
