The United States men's national team won the Concacaf Nations League title on Sunday night in Las Vegas with a 2-0 victory over Canada. It was the second Concacaf Nations League title and third consecutive Concacaf tournament title for the U.S., adding to its 2021 Nations League and 2021 Gold Cup titles.

Atlanta United center back Miles Robinson was part of the roster. He did not play in Sunday's 2-0 win over Canada (he was held back due to hamstring tightness), but played a big role in helping the United States reach the final. Earlier in the week, the U.S. defeated Mexico in the semifinal 3-0, a match Robinson started and played a full 90 minutes.

Robinson is a force on the backline for the U.S., especially against Mexico. The USMNT hasn’t given up a goal in Robinson’s last four starts against their rival. Eddie Pope is the only USMNT center back with more consecutive starting shutouts against El Trí with five between Feb. 28, 2001 and April 28, 2004.

The center back's time with the U.S. will flow over into late June and July. On June 12, U.S. Soccer announced that Robinson was called up to join the United States as a member of the roster for the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup. Training Camp opens June 20 in Chicago ahead of the team’s first group stage match against Jamaica on June 24 at Soldier Field.

Robinson is one of just five players who will be a part of both the USMNT Concacaf Nations League and Gold Cup squads. He'll join club teammates Derrick Etienne Jr. (Haiti) and Ajani Fortune (Trinidad and Tobago) as Atlanta United players called up by their home nations for the Gold Cup. The tournament runs from June 16-July 16. A full 2023 Gold Cup schedule is available HERE.
