ATLANTA – Atlanta United today announced a pair of changes for Saturday’s broadcast against D.C. United (8:00 p.m., Bally Sports South). Eric Krakauer (play-by-play) will fill-in for Kevin Egan and Jason Longshore (analyst) will fill-in for Maurice Edu. Both Egan and Edu had previously agreed scheduling conflicts.
Krakauer and Longshore will join Jillian Sakovits, who will continue to serve as host with coverage scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. with Atlanta United Live!
On radio, the match will air on Star 94.1 with Mike Conti (play-by-play) calling it live from Audi Field. Coverage will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Krakauer is currently a commentator and studio analyst at beIN Sports. He’ll make his Atlanta United debut on Saturday and has called matches for a variety of different leagues and competitions, including MLS, Liga MX, La Liga, UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Ligue 1, Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana and Turkish Super Lig. Krakauer has also called games in Portuguese for DAZN. Born and raised in Portugal, Krakauer attended and played soccer at Manhattan College. After graduating, Krakauer played for the Manhattan Kickers in the Cosmopolitan Soccer League for 12 years and had a career in public education, while freelancing for several soccer publications.
