Another chapter will be written in the Atlanta United-Nashville SC saga this weekend as the Six-Strings come to town once again to face the U-15s and U-17s twice in MLS NEXT play, as well as the U-13s and U-14s in friendlies.
All of the U-15 and U-17 games will be available for fans to watch via the Atlanta United Twitch channel at www.twitch.tv/atlutd.
The 5-Stripes will be looking to start the new year off with victories against a familiar opponent, following a long holiday break.
On Dec. 11, both the U-13s and U-14s hosted Nashville in MLS NEXT games, with both age groups winning by a score of 1-0.
It’s now the U-15s and U-17s’ turn to play Nashville competitively. They’ll each play two games, one on Saturday, Jan. 22 and the other on Sunday, Jan. 23. Meanwhile, the U-13s and U-14s will face Nashville just once each on Saturday. All matches will take place at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground.

Returning to the pitch!
The games this weekend represent a return to the pitch for the first time in two months for both the U-15s and U-17s, with both groups’ last games coming in late November against Hoover-Vestavia.
Both squads came away with the win over the Alabama-based club, with the U-15s winning by 1-0 and the U-17s adding a convincing 3-0 victory.
In their way, however, will be some hungry Nashville sides looking to avenge home losses to Charlotte FC. Their U-15s suffered a 6-1 defeat, while their U-17s fought well but ultimately fell 3-4 to the MLS newcomers.
All things considered, this should be an entertaining weekend for fans as they get to see two Atlanta United teams on the screen for the first time in 2022.
