On Wednesday, October 16, Atlanta United invited Apalachee High School's soccer teams to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground for a special open practice experince.

This comes almost a month after Atlanta United honored the school on September 14 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The stadium held a moment of silence for the victims prior to the match between Atlanta United and Nashville SC. Players wore black armbands with the Apalachee logo on them, and a sign that read "Love Will Prevail" featuring the Apalachee "A" hung from the Gulch. Four people were killed and nine others hospitalized at the shooting that occurred on September 4. The high school is located in Winder, Georgia, roughly one hour northeast of downtown Atlanta.

The students not only got to watch practice but also took a tour of the facilities at the training ground and interacted with the players after practice.
