Atlanta United today announced it is offering Virtual Summer Camps beginning June 15. The Virtual Summer Camps mark a modified return of Atlanta United’s camps and clinics since they were suspended until further notice in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are excited to take the first step in resuming our camps by delivering our June program virtually,” said Atlanta United Director of Coach Education and Development Dean Atkins. “We have adjusted our course so we can bring players together online while still providing a personalized, first-class training program through a responsible and professional platform.”
Each Virtual Summer Camp will run Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and is open to players ages 8-14. There are three camps available for registration for the weeks of June 15, 22 and 29. To register and find more information, visit www.atlutd.com/virtual-summer-camps.
The professionally licensed Atlanta United Training Programs coaching staff will take players through live and pre-recorded ball mastery training, fun and competitive skills challenges and group activities to keep kids engaged and active. The Virtual Summer Camp will divide players into groups of 10 per coach to ensure individualized training. In addition to personal instruction, players will also receive health and nutrition tips, Q&A’s with Atlanta United staff, special guest appearances and more.
Each camp day will be broken up into blocks of classroom and active training. Players will have the opportunity to sharpen their soccer IQ, stay healthy and interact with other like-minded players and experienced coaches.
