Atlanta United Homegrown Chris Goslin is turning heads on the international stage. The U.S. youth international is playing with the U-17 squad in the International Youth Tournament of Vaclav Jezek in the Czech Republic in the team’s final warmup before the U-17 FIFA World Cup this Fall. Head Coach John Hackworth certainly noticed this absolute screamer Goslin notched against Russia on Wednesday.

That goal put the U.S. 1-0 up in the 24th minute, with James Sands and Ulysses Llanez also scoring in the 3-1 win over Russia. The win is the team’s second so far this week, with fellow Atlanta United Homegrown Andrew Carleton scoring in their 4-1 win over Hungary earlier this week. Goalkeeper Justin Garces and defender Charlie Asensio are also representing the red, black and gold in the Czech Republic, as all four players fight for a spot on the roster at the U-17 FIFA World Cup.
The team is hoping to repeat last year’s undefeated title run in this tournament. They will face Japan in the final group stage game on Friday before the knockout rounds begin next week.
