Atlanta United set to host New England Revolution Oct. 19

Atlanta United announced today it will begin its title defense in the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs by hosting New England Revolution Saturday, Oct. 19 (1:00 p.m., Univision, FOX Sports South, Sports Radio 92-9 The Game, La Mejor) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Atlanta defeated New England on Sunday, 3-1, to clinch the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference for the second consecutive season. Atlanta swept the season series as the two teams also met on April 13 at Gillette Stadium with Atlanta winning 2-0 behind a brace from Ezequiel Barco. All time, Atlanta is 4-0-2 against New England, including 3-0-0 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.


Should Atlanta advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals, it will host the winner of Philadelphia Union-New York Red Bulls (Oct. 20, 3:00 p.m., FS1) on Thursday, Oct. 24 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Full a full playoff bracket, click here.
