ATLANTA — Atlanta United today announced it has mutually terminated the contract of Fernando Meza. The veteran defender was on loan at Defensa y Justicia since the beginning of the 2021 MLS Regular Season.
“We want to thank Fernando for his time and service to the club and wish him luck in his future,” Atlanta United Vice President and Technical Director Carlos Bocanegra said.
Meza, 31, joined Atlanta United on Jan. 10, 2020. He started 17 matches across all competitions during the 2020 season, including 13 during the MLS Regular Season.
