Expansions to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground are nearing completion, and Wednesday Atlanta United released updated renderings of one of the crown jewels of the undertaking: the Emory Healthcare Studio. The club is spending $23 million on the additions in totality, which are set to be done later this summer as the club’s headquarters in Marietta, Ga. gets a major upgrade.

The studio will be a gamechanger for the club’s content creation, enabling Atlanta United’s video and broadcast production staff to further immerse fans in the 5-Stripes. Emory Healthcare holds the naming rights to the space and is the club’s official team healthcare provider. It will include two digital content studios along with podcasting and esports spaces. The partnership between the two organizations continues to prioritize innovation and gives the club unparalleled storytelling resources.

“As our club continues to grow, so has our approach to content and the Emory Healthcare Studio allows us to meet the increasing demand of digital storytelling with a world-class facility,” said Skate Noftsinger, Atlanta United’s Senior Vice President and Chief Business Officer. “This studio reflects our long-term commitment to innovation and positions us to produce content that brings fans even closer to our players and our club both on and off the pitch.”

Atlanta United produces content such as the ATL UTD Original Series Rooted in the Stripes and 5-Stripes Unplugged entirely in-house to give fans access to the ins and outs of the club. With new studio space, the possibilities for even more coverage are endless.

The main studio will be equipped for multicamera shoots with a video wall, a custom lighting grid and more. The space will increase capabilities for live match coverage and analysis as well as other special events at the training ground. In addition to highlighting events like matchdays, the tech will allow for the creation of cinematic features and more creative brand storytelling.

A second studio across the hallway from the main studio will house photography shoots, media day sessions and other video projects. On the second floor, a podcasting studio will allow the club to expand its audio storytelling.

The hub of the Emory Healthcare Studio will be a fully integrated control room located right in the heart of the expansion. It will connect the three content creation areas as well as the new press conference room on the first floor, unifying the project and maximizing the capabilities of the spaces.

“Emory Healthcare is committed to delivering the highest standard of care with compassion, connecting meaningfully with our patients, their families, and the communities we serve,” said Molly Biwer, Chief Marketing Officer at Emory Healthcare. “The launch of the Emory Healthcare Studio marks a bold step in health care innovation – designed to foster creativity, share compelling stories, and deliver memorable experiences. We’re proud to extend our relationship with Atlanta United as we work together to champion healthier lifestyles and strengthen community well-being.”

The creation of the Emory Healthcare Studio is just one facet of the larger expansion plan that will add 20,000-square feet of space to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Training Ground. When the project is complete, the space will house operations for Atlanta United, Atlanta United 2 and Academy teams. It’ll also give the club more ability to host top clubs and international sides as the 2026 FIFA World Cup arrives to the United States next summer. The $23 million of investment brings the total for one of the preeminent soccer complexes in North America to $85 million.
