The 5-Stripes will get their Portuguese defender back to matchday eligibility for the first time since July 26. Pedro Amador is one of a couple of newly healthy 5-Stripes who will be raring to go as Atlanta United plays a 4 p.m. kickoff against Toronto FC Sunday afternoon.
In Amador's place, Brooks Lennon has put in shifts at left back, opposite his preferred right back position. Lennon suffered what head coach Ronny Deila called a shoulder injury after training Friday. His status was up in the air, but Lennon was not listed on the club's availability report Saturday.
Jamal Thiaré is another player returning from injury for Sunday's match. He was dealing with a calf issue that sidelined him against Colorado Rapids last weekend.
As one forward reenters the fold, one hits the report. Emmanuel Latte Lath hasn't featured often on Atlanta United's availability reports this season but will miss the club's fixture against Toronto FC Sunday afternoon.
Matt Edwards continues to work back from a hamstring injury that has kept him out of the matchday squad since the Seattle Sounders match July 26. The club's initial statement estimated he would miss four weeks. Edwards worked out individually during training this week, and he's yet to participate in full-contact drills since he picked up the knock.
