Atlanta United's numbers strengthened this week as Bartosz Slisz's visa was approved, allowing the club's latest offseason acquisition to join his new team in preseason training.
The midfielder from Poland signed with the club in January. On Friday during media availability, head coach Gonzalo Pineda confirmed the process for Slisz has been completed.
"He's been working with the team very good this week," Pineda said.
With Atlanta United kicking off its second match of preseason Saturday in Athens, Ga. against Memphis 901 FC, there's a good possibility that Slisz sees his first action as a member of the 5-Stripes.
"Very happy, very smart player," Pineda said. "You can see immediately the amount of ground he can cover and his intelligence on the field, to cut passing lanes and to regain balls then playing forward quickly. So, I'm very excited to see him tomorrow."
Kickoff on Saturday is scheduled for 3 p.m. Watch Slisz in action along with all the 5-Stripes as we stream the match live on atlutd.com/live.
