In August we saw records, redemption and rivalries come alive, but there's plenty more ahead for Atlanta United in the 2018 season. As the first team continues its quest for the Supporters' Shield, ATL UTD 2 looks to end their inaugural season on a high with a heavy stretch of home games at Coolray Field. And there's also plenty of events around the city to get your dose of the Five Stripes. Here's what lies ahead in September:

Atlanta United sit 2nd in the Supporters' Shield race, but their destiny is still very much in their control with a game in hand on the New York Red Bulls who lead by a single point. And with seven matches remaining, Atlanta United have the opportunity to top last year's impressive inaugural season with a chance to take the Eastern Conference title, the Supporters' Shield, the Golden Boot, a spot in the 2019 CONCACAF Champions' League and a top seed in the 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs

September is going to play a crucial factor in the outcome of all the achievements above, and up next lies a week-long road trip to Colorado and San Jose – where ATL UTD could clinch a playoff spot – followed by an expanded capacity match on September 22nd at Mercedes-Benz Stadium against Real Salt Lake. And while all will be their own test, the final matchup of the month may be the deciding factor in whether or not Atlanta takes home hardware at the conclusion of the regular season – a visit to New York Red Bulls, the team who's been toe-to-tie with them for the last few months at the top of the table. The season's been fun, but now it's crunch time, don't miss a second of the action.
