Just after the US Soccer U-17 Men's National Team training camp in Utah last week, the roster for the team’s upcoming tournament in Mexico was chosen, including four names from Atlanta United FC:

Andrew Carleton (Powder Springs, GA) – Wide, attacking, creative midfielder willing to do the unexpected

Chris Goslin (Locus Grove, GA) – Dynamic, box-to-box central midfielder offering both a creative and physical presence

Zyen Jones (Clarkston, GA) – Wide, attacking, explosive player dangerous in the final third

Charlie Asensio (Roswell, GA) – Attacking left back constantly creating scoring opportunities

The Atlanta United players were called to the US Soccer Residency Program in January of this year and remained there until July, when they returned home to Atlanta. “The boys have worked incredibly hard this summer, and it was clear that they left for Utah last week with a lot of confidence heading into training camp,” noted Academy manager, Tony Annan.

The U-17 US Men's National Team will train all week in Mexico before competing in the 2016 Torneo Naciones de Mexico where the team will face Portugal on Aug. 25th, Qatar on Aug. 26th, and the hosts, Mexico, on Aug. 28th.
