ATLANTA —Major League Soccer hoy anunció que el defensor de Atlanta United George Bello ha sido agregado a la plantilla de la MLS para el 2021 All-Star Game presentado por Target. Bello participará en su primer All-Star Game y se une a Miles Robinson entre los 26 jugadores de la MLS que van a enfrentar a los All-Stars de la LIGA MX este miercoles, 25 de agosto (9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT, FS1 / Univision / TSN / TVA Sports).
El lateral izquierdo de 19 años de Douglasville, Ga. firmó como Homegrown Player con Atlanta el 17 de junio de 2017, con su contrato en efecto empezando el 1 de enero, 2018. Después de una temporada brillante en 2020, Bello ha sido titular en 15 de sus 16 partidos de la MLS en 2021 y ha hecho dos asistencias, además de ser titular en todos los cuatro partidos de Atlanta en la Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League.Â
Bello ha jugado tres partidos con la Selección de los Estados Unidos y hizo su debut contra Trinidad y Tobago el 31 de enero, 2021. Más reciente, Bello fue titular en dos partidos durante la 2021 Concacaf Copa Oro, incluyendo la final en la que Estados Unidos le ganó a Mexico 1-0.
