The two teams have faced each other once this season in MLS competition. NYCFC won the first matchup 1-0 on June 23.
It’s the first home match for Atlanta following a 2-0 win on the road in Toronto. NYCFC is 3-8-4 on the road this season and is looking for its first win in five matches. Atlanta has 42 points and currently sits in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings. NYCFC is just two points below (40) in eighth place.
