ATL UTD 2’s memorable USL debut just keeps getting better. 2018 SuperDraft pick Jon Gallagher was named to the USL Team of the Week today.
Gallagher, who ranked second in the league in the Player of the Week voting, played a crucial part in the first goal in team history, driving into the box and playing the cross that would eventually be volleyed home. The Notre Dame alum followed that up with a goal from the spot and a clinical header to complete his brace and ice the first victory in team history.
Another ATL UTD 2 player, Yosef Samuel, was named to the bench for the weekly honor after his spectacular finish for the first goal in team history. Here is the full USL Team of the Week:
