ATL UTD 2 is looking to return to the win column against Birmingham Wednesday night in Atlanta’s penultimate home match of the season. With Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Tampa Bay Rowdies, Atlanta sits two points shy of a playoff spot in the Central Division. Wednesday night’s match will be the fourth and final match between Atlanta and Birmingham this season with Legion FC owning a 2-0-1 advantage against Atlanta.Â
Birmingham is also searching for three points as it is winless in its last three matches. Most recently, Legion FC played to a 1-1 draw with OKC Energy FC. After going down a goal in the 39th minute, Birmingham’s Mikey Lopez found the equalizer in the 55th minute to earn a point at home. Currently, Legion FC sits in second in the Central Division with 41 points.Â
