ATL UTD 2 returns to action for the first time since March 8. Before the suspension of play, the team lost a tightly contested matchup against the Charleston Battery 1-0. That result will carry over into the USL Championship’s Return to Play format.
Atlanta was placed into Group H alongside the Rowdies, the Battery and Miami FC. The team will play each of those opponents four times and have four additional matchups against teams from other groups to complete a 16-match regular season schedule. The top-two teams from the group will advance to the USL Championship Playoffs.
Tampa Bay enters the match with three points in the table after defeating New York Red Bulls II 1-0 in its only match before the break. In the all-time series against the Rowdies, ATL UTD 2 has earned three draws in five matches, including two of them at Al Lang Stadium.
