Atlanta United 2 returns to action on Saturday, May 5 when it faces FC Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium. The match is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. EST and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Atlanta United 2 is looking to bounce back following two-consecutive losses, the most recent a 1-0 road loss to Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC on Saturday, April 28. Despite controlling possession and out-shooting Pittsburgh in the second half, ATL UTD 2 couldn’t overcome a first half goal in its first road game in a stretch of three away from home. Riverhounds SC scored the night’s lone goal in the 26th minute when Neco Brett drilled a shot into the lower-right corner.

FC Cincinnati enters the match on a two-game win streak and is unbeaten in its last four. In its last outing, FCC stole three points at Lucas Oil Stadium in a 3-2 win against Indy Eleven in a mid-week clash on Wednesday, May 3. Down 2-1 in the first half, Cincinnati rallied in the 41st minute when Jimmy McLaughlin’s volley leveled the score before the half. Corben Bone then gave FCC the lead nine minutes into the second half as he found space at the top of the penalty area and fired low into the left corner.

Saturday’s match marks the first meeting between ATL UTD 2 and FC Cincinnati. Atlanta is in 12th place in the Eastern Conference while Cincinnati is in 2nd.
