Louisville City downed Ottawa Fury FC 4-0 last Saturday at Louisville Slugger Field. Cameron Lancaster scored two goals to bring his season total to 21 and extend his Golden Boot lead.
Atlanta drew Louisville 1-1 in the teams’ first meeting April 21 at Coolray Field. Andrew Carleton scored his first professional goal, a 90+1’ minute equalizer from the penalty spot. Louisville stole three points with a late goal of its own in the second match. After goals from Lancaster and Laurent Kissiedou in the first half set the score at 1-1, Luke Spencer drew a penalty in the 90th minute. Substitute Ilija Ilić converted the penalty in the 90+1’ minute to hand Louisville a 2-1 win.
