Atlanta United 2 will resume its previously suspended match with Ottawa Fury FC on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in Kennesaw, Georgia. The match, originally played on June 16, will resume in the 44th minute with a score of 1-1. Both teams will be permitted to make a maximum of six changes to their lineup prior to the resumption of the contest, while also retaining three substitutions.
The original match began following a long delay due to inclement weather. ATL UTD 2 and Fury FC played to a 1-1 score before lightning in the area of Coolray Field forced the match to be abandoned in the 44th minute. ATL UTD 2 scored in the third minute after Andrew Carleton forced an own-goal by Ottawa’s Eddie Edward. Kevin Oliveira equalized for Fury FC in the 10th minute.
In the first meeting, Ottawa scored a pair of first half goals in a 2-0 win May 12 at TD Place.
