Atlanta United represented by five players among top 25

Major League Soccer today announced that Atlanta United midfielder Miguel Almirón has the No. 1 best-selling jersey for 2017 on MLSstore.com. The 23-year-old Paraguayan international is joined by four teammates on the list of highest retail jersey sales – Josef Martinez, Hector Villalba, Greg Garza and Yamil Asad – giving the club five players in the top 25. Almirón is the first player from an expansion team to have the league’s highest-selling jersey.

Chicago Fire midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger ranks second on the list, followed by Atlanta United forward Josef Martinez (3), Seattle Sounders FC forward Jordan Morris (4) and NYCFC forward David Villa (5).

The rankings are based on overall retail sales of adidas MLS jerseys on MLSStore.com since the beginning of 2017 through the conclusion of the regular season.
