Atlanta United's match at D.C. United Wednesday night has one added element to it.
The 5-Stripes could clinch a Playoff spot with four matches left to play in the MLS Regular Season if the team beat D.C., and some other results go their way. Matchday 32 consists of 14 matches starting Wednesday at 7:30 pm ET, five of which have direct implications on Atlanta United's chances of making the 2023 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs tonight.

The MLS Regular Season ends with Decision Day on Saturday, October 21, when Atlanta United visits FC Cincinnati, which currently seats at the top of the Eastern Conference standings and is the only team already qualified for the post-season.
The 2023 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs are expected to begin Wednesday, October 25. Back in February, MLS announced its new Playoff format for 2023 which includes a Wild Card match in each conference followed by the Round 1, which now includes a Best-of-3 series.
