With a win on Saturday vs CF Montréal, Atlanta United can clinch a Playoff spot.
The 5-Stripes could clinch a Playoff spot with three matches left to play in the MLS Regular Season if the team beat Montréal. In case of a draw, there are other results that need to go their way.

However, in case of a draw, the following results are needed:
- D.C. United LOSS/DRAW vs New York Red Bulls, AND Chicago Fire LOSS/DRAW vs New England Revolution, OR
- D.C. United LOSS/DRAW vs New York Red Bulls, AND Charlotte FC LOSS/DRAW at FC Cincinnati
The MLS Regular Season ends with Decision Day on Saturday, October 21, when Atlanta United visits FC Cincinnati, which currently seats at the top of the Eastern Conference standings. Cincinnati, Orlando City, Columbus Crew and Philadelphia Union already secured their Playoff berth.
The 2023 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs are expected to begin Wednesday, October 25. Back in February, MLS announced its new Playoff format for 2023 which includes a Wild Card match in each conference followed by the Round 1, which now includes a Best-of-3 series.
