A few fun facts about our defender Bradley Kamdem Fewo.
- What’s your favorite thing to cook?
- Actually, I have quite a lot of stuff that I like to cook. I love salmon; I could eat salmon everyday. There’s a sauce from France with wine called bourguignon with beef, so I really like to cook that as well. And I’m trying to learn how to bake, but it’s not going very well.
- What’s your favorite movie?
- Me personally, my favorite movie is Harry Potter. That’s my favorite movie of all time.
- Favorite Harry Potter character?
- Everybody loves Dumbledore and Harry Potter, but I don’t know if I can have an actual favorite. I don’t think I have an actual favorite one to be honest. It would be the three of them, Hermione, Ron and Harry Potter. I don’t know if I can have a favorite one though. All three of them together.
- Favorite color?
- My favorite color is either blue or red.
- Do you watch any sports besides soccer?
- Sometimes I watch NBA. I like the NBA. I like to play basketball as well.
- Do you have a favorite team?
- My favorite team is Miami Heat because my favorite player was Dwayne Wade. But then he retired so now I actually am looking for a new favorite player. I haven’t found one yet.
- If you weren’t a professional soccer player, what would you be doing?
- That’s a good question. Since I was young, I’ve always wanted to do this. I’ve always told my mom different answers because she told me I need to find a career. If I did, I’d want to be a lawyer because I really like to, like, debating is always something I’ve liked doing. With my friends I like to just argue about stuff, back and forth discussions all the time. So lawyer or maybe an orthodontist. One of the two probably.
- Do you remember what got you into soccer?
- Ya, my dad. My dad is a big, big soccer fan as well. Even before I started walking, he would kick me the ball. Then as soon as I was walking, I was playing. So as long as I remember, I’ve always played soccer. That’s all I remember.
- Do you have a favorite soccer memory?
- It would have to maybe be either when I won trophies with my team. For me, whenever I win a trophy. Even when I was 10, just winning trophies. I like winning a lot, so winning any trophy. Or when I get drafted or when I signed my first professional contract. That’s probably my favorite memories.
- Do you have a favorite memory with a fan?
- Can my family be fans? There was a game my whole family surprised me and came to one of my games. I ended up scoring that game as well then we won. So that was unbelievable.
- Any advice for kids picking up soccer?
- My advice for kids, the first one is just enjoy the game. Don’t put more pressure on yourself than you need to do. At the end of the day, we’re so blessed to be playing this sport for a job. Doesn’t matter if you’re playing in the World Cup Final or playing in front of 10 fans. When you can say that soccer is your job, I think that’s a blessing so you have to be grateful. I think, when you’re younger, just enjoy playing. Obviously, you have to work hard and believe in yourself and be confident. But just really enjoy it. Even when I was younger, I wanted to be pro so bad, I wanted to make it so bad that sometimes I think I could have maybe enjoyed it a little bit more. But I just felt I needed to get onto the next thing, next thing, next thing. Just take time to enjoy the game, enjoy playing, enjoy. Really we shouldn’t feel pressure like that. So when they’re younger, don’t let outside noise in. Find the passion for the game and enjoy the game. The rest will come. Really just find the love for the game, and it will come after that.
