Atlanta United acquires up to $150,000 in General Allocation Money

Atlanta United today acquired up to $150,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) from the Portland Timbers in exchange for defender Ronald Hernández. Atlanta will receive a guaranteed $50,000 in 2026 GAM and can receive up to an additional $100,000 in 2027 GAM if certain incentives are met.

Hernández joined in 2021 and has made 82 MLS regular season and playoff appearances for Atlanta. The Venezuelan defender has scored two goals and added three assists in MLS play during his Atlanta career.
