Miles Robinson was the headliner for scoring Atlanta United's last-gasp goal against Columbus Crew on Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, but the late equalizer also marked a significant milestone for midfielder Thiago Almada.Â
On a set piece from about 20 yards out in second-half stoppage time, the World Cup winner sent in the ball that Robinson redirected toward goal to equalize the match. Almada was credited with the assist on the play.
The assist was Almada's 29th all-time in league play, which breaks a tie he held previously with Miguel Almirón. It was also his 17th on the season. He currently leads MLS in the category.
Julian Gressel is the all-time assist leader in Atlanta United history with 35.
