VOTE: Josef Martinez nominated for MLS Goal of the Week

It's time to get your Golden Boot leader the respect this finish deserves.

Josef Martinez has been nominated for the MLS Goal of the Week award after his fantastic headed finish against New York City FC this weekend that secured a crucial draw in one of the toughest fixtures on the calendar this season. It all starts with the pass, with Julian Gressel floating a beautiful curved cross in from deep in the attacking half. The ball floated over the NYCFC defender and into the path of Josef Martinez, who had plenty left to do. But he bounced the ball into the turf and up and over goalkeeper Sean Johnson, a clever but lethal finish that left him with no chance.
