COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
The Forest Kit is a symbol of our club’s commitment to environmental sustainability, while also paying tribute to Atlanta’s reputation and nickname as “The City in The Forest.”
Overrun with greenery, Atlanta proudly offers more urban tree canopy than any other city in the nation.
Atlanta United’s passion for protecting the environment is nothing new. Since opening our doors in 2017, and becoming the first LEED Platinum professional sports stadium in North America, our home of Mercedes-Benz Stadium has set the standard for sports venues by innovating our approach to sustainability.
From our water conservation system protecting neighboring communities from flooding, to the 4,000 solar panels that generate renewable energy for the city’s power grid, our home of Mercedes-Benz Stadium is more than our field of play. It is here to be a catalyst for protecting the environment it sits in.
The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation has long supported preserving greenspace in our city. The foundation was one of the first investors in the Atlanta BeltLine and over the past decade has helped to create every major park in our targeted Westside neighborhoods. In its next generation of philanthropy, the Blank Family Foundation is committed to investing in our environment, through conservation and climate resiliency.
As part of our efforts to maintain Atlanta’s status as a leader in providing plentiful green spaces, Atlanta United is teaming up with Trees Atlanta to plant 1,000 trees across the city during the next two seasons while wearing The Forest Kit.
Throughout this season, Atlanta United together with our supporters, our home at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation will continue to work on delivering a better tomorrow by working to preserve Atlanta and The City in the Forest we all love.
