I got to go to New York City! And now I understand why it's called the Big Apple. At first, I thought it might be a delicious treat for me to eat. But now I know, it's one big city!
With so many lights and sounds and smells, it's easy for me to get distracted. I really wanted to see the Broadway show Annie so I can watch the famous Sandy on stage, but my trainer kept me focused. She's teaching me to stay nearby while being loose on my leash. It's a lot more comfortable walking around a big city like New York this way. And I'm always working on my skills like "sit" and "stay." No matter where I am, or how many taxi cabs honk at me to say hello, I always remember the basics.
While I was in New York, I bought some postcards to send to my puppy pals back home. I even signed them with my own pawprint. I went to a few other places like Long Island and had a picnic in Central Park. I met a lot of new people too! Although, they're not as friendly as my friends back home in Atlanta, the New Yorkers I met were nice and welcoming for a young pup like me.
During my trip, I scheduled a playdate with the New York Mets Veg Dog, Shea. Unfortunately, Shea couldn't make it this time. I don't care too much for the Mets (go Braves!), but maybe I can meet Shea and be puppy pals on my next visit!
In the meantime, I got to celebrate National Hot Dog Day yesterday. I hope my Atlanta friends back home got to eat a hot dog. I like mine with ketchup, mustard and a little peanut butter. Mmmmm. Don't forget, you can get a hot dog at Mercedes-Benz Stadium during the next Atlanta United home match on August 6! And guess what? I'll be there! So be sure to stop by and say hello.

Atlanta United's service dog will be holding a meet-and-greet for our next home match on Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium prior to kickoff against Seattle.
